This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our website. By using the platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. What We Collect
We may collect the following personal information:
For registered users (buyers and sellers)
- Name and email address
- Account login credentials
- Purchase and download history
- Device and browser information (e.g. IP address, operating system, screen size)
- Usage data (e.g. pages visited, time on page, link clicks)
For sellers
- Name
- Email address
- Account login credentials
- Uploaded content and related metadata
- Stripe or payment account information (for payouts)
For every visitor
SwapCase is available in Australia only at the moment. To apply that, our hosting provider tells us the country your internet connection appears to be in, worked out from your IP address. We use it to decide whether to show you the sign-up, purchase and seller options, and it is stored in a cookie on your device for up to six hours so pages load correctly as you move around the site.
We do not store your IP address, and we do not keep a record of the country of visitors who do not create an account. If you do create an account, the country is saved against it so that travelling overseas does not lock you out of resources you have already bought.
If you join the waitlist
Visitors outside Australia can leave an email address to be told if SwapCase becomes available where they are. We store that email address and the date it was submitted, and nothing else. We use it only to send that one notification, never for marketing or newsletters, and we do not share or sell it. You can ask us to remove it at any time by contacting us, and we will delete it without keeping a record.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide access to the platform and its features.
- Verify seller identity via Stripe Connect (SwapCase does not collect or store ABN numbers or identity documents directly).
- Enable purchases and payouts securely via Stripe or similar.
- Monitor and improve website performance.
- Detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorised activity.
- Send relevant notifications (e.g. sales, new messages, profile updates).
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
4. Payments and Security
All transactions are securely processed via third-party providers such as Stripe. We do not store full payment card information on our servers.
Seller payout information (e.g. Stripe Connect account) is stored securely and only used to facilitate payments.
5. Data Storage and Retention
- We store user data on secure servers.
- User data is stored and processed via Supabase, a third-party cloud infrastructure provider.
- Seller account data is retained for as long as the account remains active.
- Buyer usage data may be anonymised for analytics and reporting.
- You may request to delete your seller account or anonymise data by contacting us.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request corrections or updates
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent (if applicable)

8. Children's Privacy
This website is not intended for use by children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors without parental consent.
